I finally found the container so I can finally tell you what I've found 
to work really well. A year or so at Sam's Club I got a gallon of CAL-
PRO cleaner & degreaser, it was like $8.00 or $12.00 a gallon. Now 
before you say whoa that's expensive let me say that it's a consentrate, 
you only have to mix about 4 oz. to a gallon to get a real good plane 
cleaner. I use fuel with a castor oil mix and it will cut that goop off 
with one application. Use it 50/50 and use it to degrease your auto 
engine!(G) Full strength this stuff would probably peel paint(G). I've 
been using it for quite a while and it works well on both monocoat and 
painted surfaces, even at higher levels, I started out using a pretty 
strong solution but have found that the weaker ones work just as well.
