Thanks Harold.  I called Intuit after returning the printer and the guy
said he did not know of any problems like I had.  He thought that I had
a bad spot on my disk where the printer file was located and suggesed
that I rename the file to move its location.  Well that's possible but
I no longer had the printer to check it out.
I just received Intuit's anouncement for Quicken 96 Deluxe 5.  Among
the improvements is the ability to adjust column widths and automatic
fit-to-page report writing.  I wonder if this is response to our
problem.  I also posed my problem at my local user group.  Several
had no problems and others said Intiut was aware of it and was going
to provide a fix.  Naturally I wasn't able to get specifics.
At least you were able to get a little better correction with the
margin adjustments than I.  Perhaps the video card makes the
difference.  I'll see how people fare with the new version before
trying another printer.  Ron
