Eric,
  The taglines (those cool little on liners) are placed on your postings
by your offline reader/editor when you post a message through the quick
mail feature of your BBS.  I run Qmodem Pro for Windows, so I'm not
really familiar with which version of Qmodem Pro for Dos is the latest.
However, if your version is the recent version, it should come with OLX,
which is a great mail reader. An assortment of taglines should come with
it, but you can add any you want. It even comes with a capability
to "steal" any you see in others' posted messages. Check your docs; it
should provide all the instructions you need to get started.   Enjoy!!
