It looks like you have knowledge in working with pppdial.... i have one 
problem getting ppdial to use a response file. I looked at what you have set 
up as a response file and mine is set up much like yours, however when i 
start up the "dial other internet provider" dialer, pppdial starts up but 
gets to a point that lists the authors and sits there until it times out. If 
I remove the response file pppdial works fine but w/o all the specific 
options that i have in my response file any suggestion appreciated TIA
