 That is right. Many froget or nevr knew that the Modem's Rated Speed is the 
Theoretical MAXIUM. In the day of 2400 and 9600 Modems they typicaly equaled 
yuor typical connection. With the 33.6 speed that is no longer possable. we 
are Straining the technology to the limit. Particualrly that of the 
OTS(Plain
old Telephone System). One should be very satisfied with anything ober 28.8 
and in some cases, Like mine in a Very Poor Line condition neighborhoos even 
be happy with that. After al lthe Telephone Gurantees NOTHING more then a 
reliavble Voice Circuit. All Else is GRAVY on the Steak.
