It is possible that I will be leaving FidoNet soon, should my
feed to the Holysmoke echo be cut. I have left a message for
a possible replacement Moderator for this echo, should I be
gone quickly. Again, I refuse to be lied about or stood over
by the moderators of the Holysmoke echo, and have plenty of
"anti-jihad" and similar blogs to read and post in, should
the feed cut take place.

All the best, and I trust that my successor will moderate
this echo fairly and impartially (not that it has needed
much moderation during my tenure).

The following is my reply to Malcolm Miles in response to a
request by Ross Cassell to cut my feed to the HOLYSMOKE echo.

Let the dice fall where they may.

I do not believe that my feed should be removed to that echo, for 
the following reasons:

I was not an active participant when the co-moderator of the echo
posted several messages containing many lies and defamation against
me, claiming that I had "pre-banned" users or banned users in the
Edge_Online echo when I became moderator after Steve Quarrella 
deleted it in the late 1990s.

As I and another user pointed out, I at no time banned, pre-banned
or threatened to ban any person for any reason. It is not my style.

I expect an apology and retraction of all lies and defamation by
Dan Ceppa against me, or for Ross Cassell to remove him as co-moderator.

If that happens, I will place the echo on pass-through, and have nothing
further to do with it. 

If my feed to that echo is cut, please cut my feed to all echo and file
areas at the same time. My involvement with FidoNet in general and Net
800 in particular will cease, and I will have nothing further to do with
it.

I refuse to be lied about by Dan Ceppa and stood over by Ross Cassell.
