LAS VEGAS -- Persistent rain showers forced NHRA officials to cancel
Friday's qualifying for the NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals at the Strip at
Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The $1.8 million race is the fourth of 23 events
in the $50 million NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.

Saturday's professional sessions (11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.) will run as
scheduled, pending weather conditions. Final eliminations are set for
Sunday at 11 a.m.
