Does this mean we PC> won't have to worry about the 1/10th second rule anymore? FixPack 16 was recalled for review by IBM, with the statement that it would be re-released after some concerns were addressed. And no, you should always observe good programming practice. FixPack 12 and later do not "fix" the problem, but simply allow the user to kill an offending program without rebooting the whole computer. Besides, why would you want to write OS/2 software that deliberately requires the user to install a FixPack? The market is small enough as it is, so why irritate those who do exist? -- Mike ---* Origin: N1BEE BBS +1 401 944 8498 V.34/V.FC/V.32bis/HST16.8 (1:323/107) SEEN-BY: 50/99 270/101 620/243 711/401 409 410 413 430 808 809 934 955 SEEN-BY: 712/407 515 517 628 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 323/107 170/400 396/1 270/101 712/515 711/808 809 934 |
