If there is, it'll be purely artificial. These speculators want to watch
out, as once RAM reaches a certain price range, the majority of people
would sooner put up with slow machines than fork out say $800 or another
8Mb.

Mine is full on (800x600x64k res too) - what model is your Cirrus card?
BTW, there is one major problem I have with Win95, if I insert an audio CD
into the 'ROM, it locks the PC solid. Until I eject it. Works just fine
under both native DOS and OS/2 though. Go figure...

Although I've never met him, I like your system administrator already! :)

A pity, but what other choice is there? Warp Connect perhaps? Whatever,
Win95 is far too unreliable as a server at this stage IMO (our workshop
Win95 server crashes and burns at least once a day, and often even more
frequently.

KR> its good to see that you are working in the industry now, i suppose that

I have moved this here, as I don't want the world knowing all of my
personal business, but I've been working for Computer Hand Holding at
Lutwyche (Mike Richardson) for almost 4 weeks now, and although I'm at
present employed as a technician (simple stuff, mainly upgrades, builds,
general fault-finding and card-swapping etc), my primary role will be the
technical manager for the new Qld Modem Superstore when it opens next
month.

And yes, my email has suffered dreadfully as a result of having to leave
home at 0700, and not getting back until around 1830 or later. Plus I'm
required to work alternate Saturdays (which is a real PITA, I can tell
you). One major bonus though, my phone bill will be considerably less from
now on. :)

Regards, Bill
