Hi All, hope you are having a nice day
Got a good one here but it'll take someone w/ inet access to figure
it out I suspect.
Guy down the street seems to be cleaning out his mess of 'puter stuff
and has a pretty big pile out on the street. (jim would have fun i'll
bet what w/ all the mini and mid tower cases that're out there)
Anyhow I picked up a 1U rackmount device of some sorts which has at
least 2 ethernet ports in back plus a pair that I don't recognize which
look sorta like a cross 'tween a usb-a and rj-45 The cover was off the
top so I do know it has another rj-45 on the main board at the front
which may be for a terminal to set it up. It has a dimm slot inside as
well but it was gone so I don't know what size it needs.
Marking on the front top left are

The right side has 12 leds in two slanted lines like // from top to
bottom they're labeled as..
/O ---LINK--- O\
E1 E2
\O ---RATE--- O/
O ---LINK--- O
L1 L2
O ---ACT---- O
O POWER TEST O
Looks like whatever it is it's called an EGEM1, model number is
1000-1202, and there's no fcc id that I can find.
My guess is it's either a firewall or something to go between a
highspeed line like a T1 or frac-T1 and a router/hub but dunno
for sure.
