I have many Jewish friends - for most of them keeping Kosher means "don't
serve the Rabbi bacon". Except for my Friend Les' new bride - she keeps
a Kosher kitchen with 2 sets of dishes/pots & pans and enforces Kosher
in her kitchen to the point that Les has do do his chilli making in the
little mini-kitchen he has set up in the basement.
I asked Rabbi Mikal Datz about hunted venison. His reply was that if the
hunted animal was hung, bled and "field dressed" it would be OK to eat
for all but the pickiest Jews. Lack of a chalif notwithstanding. The
point is minimizing the pain experienced by the animal before expiring.
All that being said - an amimal that was wounded and had to be chased/
tracked through the bush before being dispatched would not qualify.

Rather like the people in the Phoenix, AZ area who moved there for the
"dry heat" and changed the local climate by insisting on lush green
lawns, swimming pools, etc. To say nothing of what they've done to the
water table and aquifers.

I saw your response to Dale after I posed the question. I assume they
are using some form of plastic - which may cause other problems down
the road. If I'm wrong in that guess I have faith you will point out
my error. Bv)>

They sure sound like the 800# gorilla, though.

I am an Amazon Prime member - although I may drop that as I don't use
the 'free' video streaming. And most of my purchases are >$35 (the
threshold for free shipping). And by comparison shopping I've learned
that Amazon is not always the lowest price. For instance I was recently
in need of re-stocking the bum fodder supply. And my local Office Depot
beat Amazon my $5 on a 40 roll quantity of Scott 1000. And they
delivered it to my car - on my schedule (IOW when I was going that way
anyhow).

Whereas I have not - so it would all be virgin territory for me.

Lotsa Krauts in this area, too. Names like Schuppmann, Rosentreter,
Langfelder, etc. Most are Lutherans ... but not all. There are Roman
Catholics, etc.
