That's a good question. RA was very popular at one time. I used it
myself at one time, registered with Ed Meloan. There were more msgs
in this area at that time than I could keep up with.

The BBS package I use now (MBSE BBS) is very much like RA with a mailer
ticer and tosser. A lot of the configuration (at least the BBS aspects
of it) would be familiar (but not identical) to RA.
