SH> Have you tried doing a Google search from Arachne or another browser
 SH> for a drawing program?

Yes, but all the ones I found were CAD packages that were more
suited to plotter output. MacDraw could draw lines of different
widths to impact printer output. OTOH I'll keep looking....

The the moment I'm using Protel EasyTrax, which is freeware
nowadays. With a fair bit of trouble it can do general drawings
and schematics, although it is much better suited for PCB
layout.

I'd love to find a copy of AutoSketch, also from Protel who were
also the originators of AutoCAD. It is much better suited to
general drawings and schematics.

SH> And it likely is no more.:-(

AFAIK MacDraw was suited only to the early Macs.

SH> You're likely right but what function does it serve? Does it log this
SH> information? And it must be chewing up a few cycles to be active and
SH> using MEM would verify that.

As I understood it, it intercepts disk accesses and the running
of EXE and COM files by changing the related BIOS vectors to
point to the TSR. So it wouldn't need to steal cycles except
as the aps started up, or during disk writes.

You could say its a bit like the security check at the airport.
It isn't scanning people all the time, the people are diverted to
pass through a check system only as they enter the sensistive area.
