| subject: | Win98 multi-boot? |
Hello, ALL. Getting lazy here. Does anyone know if Win98 will support multi-boot configurations in config.sys and autoexec.bat like DOS 6.2 did? What I have in mind is for the "test fixture" where I volunteer - - I'd like to have one choice to test CDROM drives in DOS mode, and another choice would be to test Memory sticks under Win9x, so that the system will boot fully into Win9x graphics mode. I want that second choice, since I buy a lot of used memory sticks for our organization, and had previously been testing them just to count up right during POST, then I added booting to HDD with Win9x in DOS mode, and we had some sticks which passed both of those, but which locked up when put in a Win9x machine, and running in highest available memory, the machine locked up and wouldn't finish booting. Thanks - - - JimH. ... Roadkill?!
