That is correct. I'm not good with the theory, but I know how to listen. ;)

Aha. Aha. Ah. I see. OK, you win. :). But I hope you understand (more or
less) what I mean: the background time measurement is completely different
from that of the main theme. So that there is no accordance between the two,
it's like playing two different songs at once.

Ah yes, going from minor to major (and back, but that is a little less
frequent as far as I know) is indeed usual in classical music. But flipping
between the two in two measurements, and again, and again, ... is less usual.
It creates the impression that the artist doesn't really know where he is
going with his music. It slows down, goes faster, slows down, ... like a bike
on a hill.
DH> You may know what you like in listening, but you don't know any music

I know that, and it is one of my handicaps. OTOH, I don't really mind not
knowing about time measurements etc. The fact that I can't play an instrument
bothers me much more. I do think that my hearing is quite devellopped for
measurements, I just don't have the basics or the theory to express it well.
DH> BTW, I was a music major in college. Dave
My only music education was six years ago, one hour a week in college. I was
first of the class most of the time, but that wasn't very difficult. The
teacher made a real charade of it.
