Yes, but not enough to make that much of a difference. Granted, you'd have to 
have power stations in between two galaxies for it to make any amazing 
amounts of power. Then, how's this sound. We use gravity in space. I was 
thinking about what you said. I just want to know what would be wrong with 
this:
You have a space station, like the one in 2001, which uses cyntrifical force 
as gravity. Place at the center a generator which uses something similar to a 
flywheel and magnets. Would the flywheel not spin eternally (almost) if you 
gave it a spin and shut the compartment. Remember, here at the center gravity 
is pulling equally in all directions, so they cancel each other out.
Would that maybe work?
