A while back, Jeff Snyder showed up in the echo in question.  No one had
heard of him, but he proclaimed that he had created it years ago, and he
asked Steve Asher (the moderator) to give the echo back to him.  The echo
was in fact created by someone named Bill Kochman.  The things Snyder
remembered as happening to him more than a decade ago actually happened to
Kochman.  Snyder and Kochman both claimed to be living in Guam, they both
shared the same religious beliefs, and they both had the same writing
style.  On at least one occasion I believe they both used the same e-mail
address.

As for "real name," that is completely unknown and Snyder won't say a word
about it.  One name might be fake.  Both might be fake.  The most amusing
aspect of the matter was when Lofaso jumped in on the thread and suggested
that Snyder's posts in "debate" violated Klahn's "real
name" rule in that
echo.  Klahn responded that it was okay with him as long as the fake name
was not used "to avoid some rule."  Lofaso made the obvious response:
"Using an alias in a "real names only" echo is a means of
avoiding that
"real names only" rule."
