HGi MB>I don't know about Windows XP but I do know that it works under Win98 via MB>telnet. It's worth a try though. I was able to register my copy of DOORWAY while Marshall still owned it, and have tried to get it to work with XP...for the doors I have that weren't created with a fossil to run under telnet. But, no luck so far. From Synchronet's documentation, doors that were setup for direct comport I/O only won't under under Synchronet...and apparently, a fossil driver is required for doors to do so. I haven't been able to get that to work just yet. Stephen Hurd (Deuce), one of the Synchronet programmers, is working on a utility called DOSBOX, to allow non-fossil doors to work under telnet...but, he hasn't given a timetable for release of that yet. I would love to have such a utility...I've got 4 ham radio doors and several other doors (including DreamWare doors) that weren't done with fossil support...that I'd love to put on the BBS. --- þ OLX 1.53 þ Over 150 msg areas, over 5000 files, and over 200 doors. --- SBBSecho 2.11-Win32* Origin: The Thunderbolt BBS 501-223-2541 tbolt.synchro.net (1:382/33) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 382/33 61 140/1 106/2000 633/267 |
