More like: His editor had a brain!   I was talking with a friend
about this.  I was there for his 'small press' period, and some of the
garbage he went through.  His specialty was selling a story to some
pinhead only to watch the magazine go away before his story was
published.  It would send him into the depths of dispair.  Now, if he
gets rejected he shrugs, looks up the next name on the list, and sends
it off.  Of course, he isn't dealing with the small press anymore
either, but it was interesting while it was going on.
