I did Buy several Zoom 56Kflex modems after trying Diamonds Supra 56K EXT
PCSP and there is no comparison, more reliable 56K connections and a great
service deppartment. I have bought five supra modems and in the past the
service was great. As of late there service department and products has gone
down hill and the company has owed my account a balance on a returned modem
for over 60 days.
They used to be a good company when they were a local home grown company then
Diamond bought them, and nothoing but poor service and if you have seen the
new 56K modem without NVram and many needed status lights you would laugh.
Zoom not only supports there peoducts but there a modem worthy a sysop and
world class operations.
Supra themselves even addmitted the modem was of poor design for sysops and
shouldn't have been marketed under the sysop deal. But after rude customer
service and being hung up on and withholding funds......Thats enough for me.
Zoom not only out preformed and is packed with more features we used to see
from Supras older modems, but best of all they support there products,
holding the customers satisfaction in the highest.
I have had the same poor service on Diamonds video cards, I now install ATI
cards on new machines.
Speaking from a working relationship, Diamonds products don't cut in the
market of the fast paced world of customer large or small.
When you work in the field for a living you quickly finds what works and what
doesn't......Diamond Products and there support don't.
