  From what I understand, that's the way GT Power BBS software was,
when its original author, Paul Meiners, of Phoenix, Arizona...had it.
I hear that it was written in C (a lot of it), and quite a bit of the
code is not commented. Had the (now forner) Sysops kept supporting him,
he probably would've kept developing GT, and possibly made it telnet
under Windows systems...and I would've stayed with it (I ran GT for over
13 years). GT can run telnet under OS/2 (I do QWK networking with one
such system, so I can still get their echoes), but apparently several
items that worked under dial-up won't work under telnet.
