These groups have been described as the "Talibornagains," since a lot of
them have the same M. O. as the Taliban.
The worst group I can think of offhand is the "Army Of God," they are
very loosely organized, and just plain murderous.

I still remember one guy who appeared on some talk show, Paul Hill.
He kept saying it was righteous to murder doctors, I figured he's get
into some big trouble someday.
Sure enough, he ambushed a doctor in Florida, shot to death with a
shotgun a doctor, his bodyguard and seriously wounded the doctor's wife.
Hill was executed for murder, and he kept bragging how he would "be with
Jesus" after.
Hill is a "martyr" to the wackadoodle set.
