 Frightening thing is, it's beginning to look like they are
 right. There are so many similarities to the Roman Empire.

 Amnesty for illegals reminds me of the Roman Empire granting
 citizenship to conquered peoples near the end. The movement to
 bring in immigrants specifically to serve in the military
 reminds me of the non-roman armies that defended Rome. When your
 own people won't serve, how long can you last? Tax avoidence by
 the rich, with govt connivance. Impoverishment of the citizenry,
 with some becoming richer and richer. And bread and circuses to
 cover up the fact.

 Can the American Empire survive becoming a third world country?
