I ran into the same thing in the RUSH LIMBAUGH echo several years ago.


There were two guys moderating that echo...one's name was Freeze, I don't
recall the other ones name...Mark Fornoff, I think.


For about a year or so I just read the echo without posting in it.


It was typically filled with stuff like `megadittos, Rush' messages... ..`Rush
is right again'......to the point of silliness.

One day I read a particularly obnoxious post from one of the moderator's that
just `gushed' over something Limbaugh had said, and I made the mistake of
replying that it should be kept in mind that Limbaugh banked around 30 million
dollars a year doing what he did.


Well.........I guess you know the `stuff' hit the fan real quick. I wasn't
even given the courtesy of a post telling me not to post in the echo anymore.


There were immediately posts from both moderators telling everyone in the echo
they were not to respond to my message, that I was completely banned and they
were to ignore any posts I put up.


My sysop at the time was a local person I knew personally, and he called me on
the phone and told me the two moderators of that echo had contacted him and
demanded my access to that echo be cut, or they'd go to his mail feed and
demand his mail source be cut off!


He didn't cut anything on me, I just didn't post there anymore.

That was the only time I ever got banned from an echo for my very first post,
that was only the truth. The Limbaugh echo died a quiet death after that, with
the only posts being the moderators posting the rules once a week or so.


I don't know if its active still or not.
