That is a different command for a diofferent purpose. the register memory
above 16 meg switch is used for allowing SCSI host adapters that can not
address more than 16 megs (i.e. Adaptec 154X) to load properly. The command
needed in this case "REGISTER MEMORY 1000000 5000000" is needed for an ISA or
PCI (Non-EISA) system to recognize the fact that more than 16 megs of RAM are
physically present, and to my knowledge, no matter where you place it in
STARTUP.NCF, it does not work at all (gives an invalid command message) I
could be mistaken, but I know I tried it there in several different ways (and
really there is not much you can do with it when you look at the syntax).
Try it, and if you find it works (on NW3.12) please advise of the syntax.
