Strong Start for 2004, Herdez Competition Qualifies both Cars in the Top Five

Under the usual sunny California skies and perfect Champ Car conditions,
the Herdez duo of Mario Dominguez and newcomer Ryan Hunter-Reay got the
season off to a good start today with both drivers qualifying in the
top-five.  It was a clean practice session this morning, the crew tried
many set-up changes on the car and had it in good form for qualifying.  The
qualifying session included one red-flag with a five minute hold time, but
it didn't effect the strategy of the Herdez crew.  Practice and Qualifying
continue tomorrow, when the grid for the 30th running of the Toyota Grand
Prix of Long Beach.
