It's high pitched.  Should I call it a squeal?  I've got a bit
of tinnitus, and it's similar--2kHz maybe?  Guess it's not fixible,
since Fry's has 17" monitors on sale for $69.99, after $60 mail-in
rebate.  I'm not anxious to do the hi-V repair, so labor and parts
make it uneconomic.
