If rendering as text, blocking all "web bugs" is easy. If rendering =
HTML, it all depends on how tuned to the HTML renderer his filtering is. =
I'd be surprised if George has all the interesting cases.

David Holm, has done all the work in Polarbar. As people get HTML =
mail that won't display properly, or is strange, they send a copy of the =
problem mail to him, and typically within 24 hours, he's checked in a = fix
for it, to cover that variant. That makes it into the next hourly =
developer build, and then of course into the next release. We typically =
have releases about every 30-45 days. Last release. 1.25 was a =
particularly long cycle, as the focus was on nailing all the little = nasty
gnats that affected different platforms.

There is a full set of user settings to cover all the vagarities of =
Linux differences. Some things (drop down boxes, list boxes, pick = lists)
react differently in the different Linux distributions. Options = to allow
for those differences are built into the program so the end = user can
tweak for their system. Basics are set based on the JVM and OS = that's
being used.

Also, all WebBugs are blocked (tested against Georges WebBug Test =
page).

OE does this. The problem is that depending on the HTML the =
fidelity of the text varies.
