Well... as Z6 sets ready to disintegrate, and the question of Russian nodes
switching zones unfolds, the Z2C stays very polite and
"technical" on issues in the IC echo. All seems "they
screwed up" so it is a non-issue, and the Z2C (former IC) gives great
opposition to the matter citing how a Z7, or migration to Z6, would cause
problems for FidoNet as in bounced mails, lost nodes, etc, etc...

What follows is food for thought, and why maybe the Russian segment really
=does= want out of Z2 in a bad way, and why maybe that "nice guy"
image of a "technical only" guy is full of shit.

Russian freinds, and current ZC6 take note ... Please don't mind my
and notes as they are for a point:

2:550/0 has shifted from Sergeui Trouchelle to me. Because of this change
the passwords which were individually agreed upon with the previous NC550
have now become invalid.

Zis is zo ordered!!!!!!!

Although prior notice was given I hardly notice people changing their
setups and many many password-errors occur.

Vat mezzod vas uzed to zo notify zeze nodes? How do ve know zat zeze nodes
rezieved the nezzazary notification?

To remedy this situation and to ensure that this message leaves this system
and has a fair chance of reaching its destination, I will briefly for a
period of 48 hours again remove the 2:550/0 address from my binkd set-up.
This will allow people with a suddenly bad password to connect anyway and
receive this message.

Vazzizizzz? It left! How can ve confirm it vent vere it vaz suppozzed to
go? Vaz ze metods uzed sufficient to inzure the reziept by all nodes
involved? Vaz netmail used? Vazzizizizzzzzz!?!?! Mybe it is zat zing
called hypocrisy?

After this 48 hour grace-period, on Monday 10th 2006 at 23h59m59s WST
(Ward's System Time)

Zo much time... zo leetle rezponze. God forbid ze had palnz vit der
family. How dare zey. Zey MUZT (MUZT!) meet zier rezponzibilites to ze Z2
Fuhrer! ZIEL HEIL!

2:550/0 will be re-introduced in the configuration. If after that still
password-errors occur then "tough shit", it means someone's not
tending to their system the way they should.

It eez zo ODRERED!

Okay... breather... take five and think about it.

Look at it... I commented on it, but will post the original after this message.

What do you see? One standard applied -outsdie- his zone as in reference
to whattrouble may be caused, and "concern" over losing nodes,
but in net 550 he is saying that if they don't meet his demands, well, he
said "TOUGH SHIT".

While Net550 is not -exclusive- to Russia, over 85% of the nodes are from
there, or fromer USSR occupied Ukrania (my mothers side heritage)... The
same nodes he preaches can make their own decisions, he -dictates- to.

He -preaches- how things are supposed to be done elsewhere, raises what
could "seem" to be legitimate concerns, then contradicts himself
by such as above (unedited original following in next message), in his OWN
zone, and t
hinks it's supposed to be bought and paid for.

Decide for yourselves... you've all seen the "nice guy" stuff
posted here, and even seen people like Carol S. (who I have great respect
for) defend him, but now you see the man in action.

After this, maybe (maybe not everybodies, but for the most part
"my") my European freinds should think about reconsidering who
they have represent them... his past track record caused controversy, and
this (within a few days) two faced action on his part shows just how
unbiased, fair, non self serving, and humble he can be.

You decide... I already have.

Phil
