Actually a lot of people have. Shakespeare in Merchant of Venice
(Referring to Matthew Chapter four, which refers to Psalm 41.)

What is really mind-blowing is that strange as that might be (and is)
stranger still is the universe(s) of the Quantum field, string theory,
dark matter, cosmic acceleration, antiparticles borrowing energy to
become...to become! Space time and ten (or11) dimensions, parallel
universes...

Well, if you don't accept the Christian Book, literally, then you become
wrong about everything automatically. Once you get to 'know your bible'
then it becomes ridiculously easy to fend off all arguments logic and
reason, because what you believe (being a spiritual being) is in the bible
as spiritually discerned. Aha! "Spiritual things must be spiritually
discerned" If you are not a spiritual person, then you obviously cannot
be even be a part of any argument, but become someone who is dismissed as a
doomed sinner, I guess...:-)
I had an interesting exchange with Mr. Snyder:
He bragged about having studied the bible for 40 years...
I told him I had a full twenty years on his...
He replied that THAT the number of year didn't matter...
(To which I agree: but he misses the point: HIS 40 years doesn't matter
either :-)
Ivebeen studying and enjoying the study of the Bible for 62 years now and
I'm still studying it and am far from being a biblical scholar... 
(I've also become a  lover of the Koran, The Bhagavad Gita - Sufi's, Jains,
Buddhists (Mahayana)...It's a wonderful theological world -and a great
hobby. So, I'm a heretic. So, I started my own church. :-) The only one I
know not lookin for new members or money :-)
