I've heard of that coming out of tv sets and monitors.

Not a big deal to fix that,  if you can be pretty sure of just what it is
that's making the noise.  I've heard of a lot of instances where something
in there around the flyback transformer starts to squeal like that,  and an
application of some silicone caulk should fix it right up for not all that
much money...
