*** Quoting Philip Lozier from a message to Carol Shenkenberger ***
CS> Thats ok. I saw those notes well before this in enet.sysop.
CS> Basically RC55 quit (not sure why, worth asking possibly) and Ward
CS> had to shift over to makenl the segment. Then, he had session
CS> security problems after warning and yet again after that, had more.
CS> One of the reasons why I've been slow sometimes to delete nodes, it

PL> Would you post such a demand on nodes with only a 48 hour window or "t
PL> shit"?
Not in those words, no. Yet, i do not have a grasp of how much time
warning ¨was given before that message you reference. I just know several
preceeded it.
I would have acted differently because my background would have lead to
¨different handling and my software has a play there too. I'd have dropped
the ¨new AKA from presentation for a week (as we have only some of the
notes, he may ¨have already done that. I do not know). Then, once
re-inserted have checked ¨logs and found alternative paths to reach the
ones with problems still, to try ¨to determine what to do about it.
Ward didnt mention who was still having problems (if any) but it could be
one ¨of those 'inactive' sites (possible vacation etc if short term
unresponsive) or ¨it could be a trouble maker. I *have* been known to take
fast action when ¨presented with a true troublemaker. I once replaced an
NC with 1 day warning ¨after he passworded me out deliberately. The net
transition was as smoothe as ¨could be done under the circumstances but was
not a 'fun time' for them or me. ¨Case of internal civil-war in the net and
i solved it when i found out one of ¨the 2 had deliberately passworded me
out.
Could Ward's actions be somewhat related to a very sticky issue internal to
his ¨area that the rest of us know little of? Possible. I would at least
keep an ¨open mind about it even if he doesnt answer questions. Afterall,
I didnt tell ¨anyone in R13 (other than the local net involved) about what
was going on and ¨why I wasnt really as 'high handed' as it would seem from
the outside. I did ¨what I felt needed to be done and took any insults
over it, in silence.
PL>> him, but now you see the man in action.
CS> Yes. Warnings went out earlier and were ignored. If he doesnt
CS> present the new AKA's then netmail flow stops to that region so he
CS> cant just 'refuse' to do that yet he cant stop all other flow to
CS> any who havent caught up and are having session problems for very
CS> long.
PL> I'm gonna send you sone netmail related to this before I go off on it
PL> to much here.
Ok, no problem!
