It seems to me that Corel and Microsoft are in a battle to be the number
one word processor. Word Perfect held that position for years and it is
only recently that Microsoft took that away. I would guess that they
would overlook someone buying their upgrade version without legally
holding a previous version just to add another name to the list of happy
users. They're after market share; the more the better.

I never used Word so I don't know if it is good or bad. I always used
WP since it was always ranked #1 and I wanted to go with the leader. It
just happens to be very easy to use as well as very powerful.
