With Synchronet you can change the look of the BBS to just about anything you 
want. It comes with shells that look like wildcat, renegade, majorbbs and a 
few others. I suppose if one had the time and skill it could be made to look 
like just about any other BBS.. :)

You can change the logon to run an external dos BBS..

It does have dial-up support now. Rob Swindell recently released sexpots.zip 
that gives a telnet BBS dial-up support.

Me too, I only use open source myself. The BBS I use (MBSE BBS) and Synchronet 
are both open source, actively developed and supported and free to use.. :)
