The most frightening snowstorm I was in was in the mountains of
Pennsylvania. I skidded off the road and figured I was going to be
stranded there through the night. I was miles from my destination. But
a carload of very nice men drove by, saw my car (which was amazing,
considering the fact that it was after dark, and the car was covered
with snow), stopped their car, got out, and got me back on the road. So
all worked out well after all. It was after that that I started keeping
sleeping bags in the car in the winter.
