Y'know, I've given that considerable thought.  From where I sit the book
is just the physical manifestation of the imagination.  I'm not sure
that's worth a nickel in the overal scheme of things.  OTOH, I'm fairly
confident that some of my characters would never see the light of day
otherwise. I've long been curious if somewhere my characters don't
manifest changes wrought by my imagination.  I know *I* do!
