And have asked yourself countless times:

   "Why should physical processing give rise to a rich inner life at all?"
   "How is it that some organisms are subjects of experience?"
   "Why does awareness of sensory information exist at all?"
   "Why do qualia exist?"
   "Why is there a subjective component to experience?"
 
We'll get into all these, after some IMPORTANT issues.

First: Two Gods.

Now if you think there IS a God or some High Poo Bah, or Somebody upstairs,
or The Great Geometrician -- or not and life is primarily useless...hearken
to the one Big  fat Rule Of The Universe, which started even before the
introduction of the four forces (Gravity, strong and weak force and
electromagnetism) and that is the Law of opposites. For nearly every
particle there is an anti-particle. It's a cosmic yin and tang...and a pile
of religions have developed an anti God: The Snake, The devil, the Accuser,
the Evil One. This is because religions have thought (and taught) that Good
is a fine idea and its opposite is evil. 2,500 years ago Socrates knew
better. The opposite of good is ignorance. If God is all good, then the
opposite would be a God of infinite ignorance. With the installation of the
forth dimension, time passes.:-) All this poor ignorant God had to deal
with was non-existant particles that borrowed energy and came into being.
In Sum: She invented strings, quarks, protons, matter, galaxies,
life------us. Awareness. Consciousness. Science! Our purpose in life is
helping her out: learning. Anything. Everything. So...everything you have
ever learned justifies your existing and your purpose in life is to
continue to learn more.
