Rick,
RF> Do you give your Birds sunflower seeds?
Yes. I have not ever used a pelleted diet and might not ever. (Never,
say never.) However, for the past 13 years I have sprouted my seeds.
This reduces the fat and adds enzymes to their diet.
RF> What is your opinion on this?
Oh, no, you asked for my opinion.
If you use seed it should only be a portion of your diet. The rest should
be raw fruits and veggies, cooked beans, etc., ect. It is the overuse of
seeds that is detrimental to the health of your bird. If you chose to use
sunflower seeds, then sprout them so that they will become a surperb
source of vit/min.
Hope that this answers you question.
Fran
