I think we tend to forget that BBS users running modems on PSTN lines
likely account for less than 10% of all modem users (and if you can believe
Mike Richardson from HH & BW at Lutwyche, fewer than 5% locally). 
Perhaps the corporate and govt users need all of that security stuff, who
knows?

I'd actually be interested to hear how it works for you, as I heard that
