I was browsing a forum this morning as I often do and came across the
post below:
http://snurl.com/1cqd
-------------------------------
"I am going to install and implement 2 Win2k Advanced Servers for file
sharing, print server, and App Server. I went to a Win 2k Server
training seminar and to make a long story short, was told that XP Pro
will not work well with the Win 2k servers and that I should upgrade =
all
my Win 95/98/ME's to Win 2k Pro and that I should downgrade all of my =
XP
Pro's to Win 2k Pro. Is there any truth to this??"
-------------------------------
There aren't too many replies atm but the first reply to it was quite
discouraging. I'm ignoring the performance issues as this can easily =
be
worked around with XP but the Win2k Server/ XP Client compatibility is =
a
bit worring as I'm soon going to buy a new laptop for a small firm I
look after - it was going to be XP Pro but the server is Win2k Server.
Is there any truth in these problems that anyone knows?
Thanks,
Chris.
