I had always said that something in the story was missing, that the `other
shoe' hadn't dropped, yet. And I seem to recall that the `other' shoe hit the
floor with a thud! Didn't someone come up with the information that the
incident Chirnside refers to was actually a police chase he was in, involving
him on a motorcycle trying to evade a cop who was chasing him? And the cop had
to knock him over to keep him from injuring innocent people?
