 Hypocritical Hemp-O-Phobes Hall of Shame
Below is a list of people who have publicly admitted using marijuana for
recreational purposes. That fact alone does not qualify them for this list,
however. In addition, each person also advocates the Drug War on fellow
marijuana users with no exceptions, not even for medical patients such as
myself. When they smoked pot, it was "experimenting". When you smoke pot, you
are a criminal that should fill a prison cell.
Specifically, they support the unconstitutional and immoral laws that allow
drug
agents to ignore our constitutional, civil, and, most importantly, our human
rights including: [http://www.ssc.msu.edu/~cj/cp/forfeitu.html] seizure of
property without due process, searches without search warrants, cruel and
unusual punishment like three strikes you're out and mandatory minimum
sentences, prosecuting patients for their legitimate medical use of God's
plants, extensive disinformation and misinformation campaigns about
arijuana,
its uses, and benefits.
The legal basis for arresting cannabis users is the Uniformed Controlled
Substance Act which classifies marijuana as a Schedule 1 drug which is a drug
that supposedly has "no medical value". If the government would have to admit
the truth of thousands of years of use of medicinal marijuana, then it would
have to repeal the legal foundation of hemp prohibition. This is why the
leas
of medical marijuana patients are being totally ignored by the government and
their newspapers and TV stations. This is why medical marijuana patients are
being sacrificed in the government's War on Drugs. The Control Substance Act
is
a smokescreen for hemp prohibition, and one of the biggest lies and frauds of
the U.S.government. The easiest litmus test for corruption of a politician is
their position on the arrest and prosecution of marijuana users.
As U.S. jails and prisons fill with millions of victims of the War on
marijuana
users, I know the world will take notice of the human rights violations that
are
taking place right now in the United States. People outside the U.S.
understand
better than those who live here that the U.S. media completely ignores the
human
rights violations of the U.S. sponsored Drug War. Since the end of the Cold
War
the U.S. has moved ahead of the former Soviet Union and South Africa to first
place as the country with the highest per capita prisoner rate. The U.S. war
machine is being re-targeted at groups within the U.S, especially cannabis
users
and the hemp legalization movement. While the U.S. government decries "ethnic
cleansing" in Bosnia, it is engaged in its own domestic programs of "cultural
cleansing". A glance through the fences of the prisons at the faces of the
POWs
will quickly show the continuing racist nature of the Drug War, as well.
Because the U.S. government is so powerful, who will challenge its abuses?
Where
is court held on the immoral violations of an all-powerful government?
Remember,
at the time of the American Revolution, Britain was the most powerful nation
on
earth, as well.

President William Jefferson Clinton - "But I didn't inhale"
During his 1991 MTV Appearance Bill Clinton was asked, "If you had to do it
all
over again would you inhale?"
His grinning reply was, "Sure, if I could. I tried!"
While many Democrats continue to believe in the fantasy that Clinton is
somehow
supportive of medical marijuana, they should be reminded that it was Clinton
who
personally ended the federal Compassionate Use program. This president would
rather have his picture taken with police chiefs than deal with the arrests
f
medical marijuana patients.

"I was a kid in the 1970's. Did I smoke a few joints? Of course, I did."
Clinton Sends "Drug Czar" to California to Campaign for Continued Arrests of
Patients
( News: Sept 16, 1996 - More Medical Marijuana Raids in California After
rug
Czar's Visit! )
Is it legal for the Federal government to actively campaign against a
citizen-petitioned initiative on a state ballot? When it comes to the war on
medical marijuana users, there is no law. Read the following UPI report about
how the President Clinton felt compelled to send the "military" to defend the
U.S. government from the medical marijuana patients and citizens of the state
of
California.
The Drug Czar willingly acknowledges that patients are being sacrificed for
his
War, "... the proposition will damage efforts to convince young people to
remain
drug-free." The Drug Czar also states "no medical research has shown
arijuana
is effective". Of course, the Czar and his U.S. government still has no
"medical
research" to show that tobacco causes cancer, either! Doctors and patients
should determine which medicine works, NOT law enforcement and politicians.
DRUG CZAR AGAINST MEDICAL USE OF MARIJUANA
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- California's ballot measure to allow
hysicians
to prescribe marijuana for medicinal purposes is vague and dangerous and
should
be defeated, White House drug czar Barry McCaffrey said Thursday. Proposition
215 would provide loopholes for drug dealers and no medical research has
hown
marijuana is safe, effective or therapeutically superior to other substances,
McCaffrey told a group of community, medical and law enforcement leaders.
"The California proposition is dangerous and wrong,"said McCaffrey, the
national
drug policy director. "It would make marijuana available to the public
ithout
following the scientific processes of the Food and Drug
Administration."Californians for Medical Rights of Santa Monica criticized
McCaffrey's speech.
"Proposition 215 will help tens of thousands of suffering people in
California.
We fail to see why General McCaffrey believes that terminally ill patients
must
be deprived of this medicine that helps them, and be subject to arrest for
using
it," the group said. The Los Angeles County Commission on HIV Health Services
also passed an emergency resolution Thursday criticizing the U.S. drug czar
for
speaking against the initiative.
Before voters on Nov. 5, the ballot initiative would allow doctors to
prescribe
marijuana and send their patients to the corner drug store to pick it up
long
with other legal medicines."Prevention professionals claim the proposition
will
damage efforts to convince young people to remain drug-free,"McCaffrey said.
McCaffrey, a retired Army general, said the initiative does not specify which
patients or illnesses may require the use of medicinal marijuana.
"It legalizes marijuana for 'any other illness for which marijuana provides
relief,' without naming any diseases. The proposition does not even require a
written prescription or medical examination. Anyone with the oral
recommendation
of a physician can grow, possess, and use marijuana," he said.Regardless of
who
buys it, the sale, possession and distribution of marijuana has been against
the
law in the United States since 1937. However, San Francisco Bay Area
fficials
have slacked off on enforcement of the illegal drug when used by AIDS
atients
and people suffering from other medical maladies.
The drug eases nausea commonly associated with cancer chemotherapy, seems to
stem the wasting syndrome associated with the final stages of AIDS, and gives
relief to those suffering from glaucoma.
Dick Lamm - Former Reform Party Presidential Candidate and Former Colorado
Governor
8/21/96. On a Denver radio show (Peter Boyles, KHOW) former Reform Party
candidate Dick Lamm admitted, "I've tried [marijuana]." Lamm alluded that he
smoked marijuana with several individuals -- who he termed "a great bunch of
people" -- on at least three river trips that occurred 20+ years ago. Lamm
said,
"[Marijuana] was the 'liquor' of choice back in those days on kayaking
rips."
Who turned him on? the host asked. "I'm not going to tell," Lamm replied.
amm
did not state his current views on the Drug War. But as Colorado governor
ack
in the the '70s he spoke against legalizing marijuana--although he signed a
medical marijuana bill into law and he let another bill that toughened
penalties
for giving or selling pot to minors become law without his signature.
Reform Party nominee Ross Perot has fervently advocated marijuana
rohibition.
In fact, Perot, during his first presidential run, refused to accept any
volunteer work from Willie Nelson, who Perot decried as representing
arijuana
smokers (TIME, Ed Rollins, 8/12/96).
No doubt, Perot would be shocked to hear Lamm recall his marijuana memories,
such as, "I remember sitting looking into the coals of the fire. [Smoking
marijuana] was an interesting experience." by Greg Daurer
Rep. Connie Mack(R) Florida
"I did it, and I know I was wrong."
Rep. Susan Molinari(R) New York
Susan Molinari is being promoted by the Republican Party as their family
values
woman candidate. This role model for American families is a hypocrit and
discovered as a liar about the truth of her marijuana usage. She also is
supposed to be pro-choice, but willingly suppresses her support for that
issue,
as well, to shamelessly promote her political ambitions. Susan Molinari is a
good example of the state of American politics. She readily submits to and
supports a "McCarthy-like" politically correct environment of lies,
intimidation, and persecution on the issue of marijuana.
August 9, 1996 - MOLINARI ADMITS LYING ABOUT MARIJUANA - NEW YORK (Reuter) -
Rep. Susan Molinari, keynote speaker at next week's Republican Party
convention,
admitted she lied years ago when she said she had never smoked marijuana, the
New York Daily News reported Friday.
[http://allpolitics.com/news/9607/26/briefs/index.shtml#1] Rep.Susan Molinari
(R-N.Y.), admits that she experimented with marijuana
Dole was asked, "Are you worried that your convention keynote speaker,
Representative Susan Molinari, admits using marijuana two decades ago. Does
that
undercut your charges that drug use has been overlooked in the Clinton White
House?"
Dole answered, "I'm talking about recent drug use, hard drugs, cocaine, crack
and other things -- also overriding the Secret Service check on security --
[it]
has nothing to with the other case. The White House is obviously very tender
about this."
Rep. Dana Rohrbacher (R) California, guest on the t.v. show Politically
Incorrect August 14, 1996.
"When I was young I did everything but drink the bong water."
Reader Response September 3, 1996
"I have known Dana for many years, having smoked the bong with him. He is now
a
total hypocrit, having voted to increase the drug war in Congress. Privately
he
tells me he still supports legalization, but would never endorse this or any
other measure publicly." Name Withheld by Request
Robert Dole (R) Presidential Candidate, in V.F.W. speech August 20, 1996.
"I promise an absolute, all-out victory in the War on Drugs."
(Mr. Dole has promised a tax cut without discussing spending cuts. Now he is
promising an "all-out victory"in the War on Americans who use drugs without
discussing the costs. His promise implies the arrest and imprisonment of the
25,000,000 Americans who use marijuana. He must be committed to raising the
fear
and intimidation of government. His call for "zero-tolerance" is consistent
with
his other positions on individual liberty. Mr. Dole's vision is 'cultural
cleansing' on a grand scale.
There are over 1,000,000 drug arrests each year in America. Almost half are
marijuana-related. Since 1971 the number of U.S.prisoners has increased
seven-fold. How many more victims before victory? What Price Glory for this
sad
old man? )
