DT :>Well he has a very low threshold of boredome. He has a jug
DT :>with rocks
DT :>and another with a few bits of dried apples and alfalfa
DT :>pellets in it.
DT :>The second one is his favorite till he either gets the
DT :>contents out or
DT :>tear a hole in it. He had an apple but he broke it. He
DT :>also has a
DT :>orange traffic cone and had a ball. The dogs kept stealing
DT :>that. So
DT :>I guess I'm stuck with him pawing in his stall.
Well, I guess he has enough toys!! The only thing I could suggest would be
lots more turnout and lots more work.
DT :>Hmmmm? Imbri doesn't have any either and shes an appy,
DT :>Smokey is a QH
DT :>and only has a couple and the Arab across from Smokey is a
DT :>bad habit.
Well, as they say...those hot-blooded Arabs (g)! Although I've known some
who were so quiet and laid back you wouldn't believe it. And, I'm not so
sure all of this is from boredom anyway...Fiddle is almost on turnout at
will, and she still does this stuff! And, most of the time she has hay at
will as well. I've never been able to figure her out (g)!
DT :>I'm convinced that they teach each other their bad habits
DT :>when we're not
DT :>watching but I've noticed that they never teach each
DT :>other their
DT :>good habits.
Actually, there was an article in Equus or PH or somewhere that stated that
just maybe horses DO learn from watching other horses...good and bad stuff.
I think Fiddle learned a lot from watching me work Thistle when she was very
young. Shiloh did not chew wood when she got here...now, from watching Miss
Fiddle, I think, she does. Oh, joy!
