I have some hopes that this echo will take a hint from Obama's Speech from
Egypt that there is a possibility of religious tolerance looming. I hope
this is true for the tens of thousand of innocent lives that will be
effected, one way or the other. 
I have always been interested in religion: parts remain puzzling...("A
mystery" sez (St.)Paul...
I have envied the few people I know who are completely taken by their
religion: a daily guide to life and action. Very satisfying to them; as
Santayana said about the Catholicism he was brought up in (and finally
rejected): "I long for its consolations of its philosophy". For my part I
take interest in other religions, cultures...and opinions. And the occult.
The Kaballah, the Taro cards...I personally cannot believe in anything (or
compendium of things) that excludes the religion of others. MY church has
three doctrines:
1. Relationships change.
2. Men lie.
3. It's best to be kind.
My church does not collect money.
The theology of my church fits in nicely with my limited understanding of
modern physics (5 kinds of strings, 6 Kinds of Quarks, 10 dimensions,
M-Theory --that sort of thing. (All nicely religiousfied (Religiousicated?)
:-)
Now that the gobble-slop has pretty much quieted down...
Why are you atheists, atheists?
Those that are not, why not?
How does your religion or non-religion affect your everyday life. (yeah, I
might write a book)
