    Yer gonna shoot your foot for this... In VP..

Uses DOS;
BEGIN
exec(program_name,parameters);
end.

This will run either an OS/2 native app or a DOS app and wait for it to 
complete and return DOSEXITCODE as you're used to. My advice, stop looking for 
the hard way and try the familiar first .
