The week's testing at Paul Ricard came to early close on Friday due to bad
weather conditions. Heavy rain and strong winds meant few drivers ventured
out for any meaningful track action; McLaren and Toyota packed up early and
while Renault, Williams and BAR loitered in the hope of improved
conditions, they day was a washout.

Williams test driver Antonio Pizzonia set one of only two times of the day,
1:21.358, and managed a meagre nine laps, while Juan Pablo Montoya didn't
set a time. The pair worked on traction control and practiced starts:
"Strong wind and driving rain forced us to abandon running this
afternoon," said chief operations engineer Sam Michael.
