I landed a position a year ago with a school district as a technology
coordinator. I now have so many projects that I am almost ineffective.
Working mornings at the high school and afternoons at the middle school is
confusing because I have to switch hats every day to pick up on the other
projects. The principal's idea of my position does not match the
board-of-ed's idea of what I should be doing.
I am just wondering, are all TCs driven to distraction like this or am I
special? I have heard stories of TCs quitting due to the work load. I have
also heard that some TCs also have to teach classes.
I would like to hear from other TCs.
BTW, my education is:
AS in Electronics
BS in Computer Science
MS in Instructional Technology
MS and Teaching certification in Library Media Services
Cross certification in Technology Education.
My position does not require certification.
