TM>I'm not sure I understand... what do you mean by 2 char lines? is this TM>every 16 raster lines? Does sound good though. Yeah, every 16 rasters (or 2 char rows). He changes fonts, multicol modes, ecm modes, back/forground colours etc. Allows him to have logos in the text (using a font in multicol mode), plus anything else like diagrams, or just have text in different size fonts etc. TM>Tell me more! What channels are you using, what sort of raster time is TM>it taking up, etc... It just uses the $d415 volume register, but the NMI interupt 'adds' the two samples in real time. It can also play either channel at different speeds, ie the samples caÿûn be played at different pitches. The raster time only allows 2 digi channels this way, so I was hoping to add 2 SID channels as well to make it a 4 track player. TM>A SID player is basically in two parts - the part that handles the TM>Order of the music, ie: the score, and the part that uses that info to TM>adjust the registers. That's all pretty straightforword. The more TM>complex stuff involves special effects like ; pulse waving, vibrato, TM>filter waving, arpeggios etc. Yeah, I understand the first bit, bit getting decent sounds escapes me. I think most players change waveform in the middle of the sound to create different waveforms & sounds. TM>Ideas are being thrown around... like : a replacement ROM for the 64 TM>similiar to Jiffy DOS. As the routine is pretty small, it may be TM>possible to trim it down so it can fit into the cassette buffer, and TM>the cartridge is another option... I think a replacement rom is the way to go, or possibly a cartridge that on every reset shoves the driver in memory & then boots the normal 64 rom. cya, Strobe/Menace --- Ezycom V1.10b0 00f90038* Origin: WOW BBS - Commodore Suport, Sydney's West (3:713/888) SEEN-BY: 50/99 54/54 623/630 640/316 711/807 808 809 929 934 712/623 713/317 SEEN-BY: 713/618 700 805 888 714/906 @PATH: 713/888 54/54 711/808 809 934 |
