The flyback runs at around 30kHz - most people can't hear tones that high. so if you're hearing a squeal it's probably something else. chech the extra-high-voltage wire for leaks. (maybe observe it in the dark?) -- I expect you can plug such leaks with RTV silicone :) OTOH maybe there's a pre-converting switched-mode powersuply unit in the monitor that runs at around 2kHz (EG converting mains to 80V DC etc...). there could be something loose in there or someththing losing. -=> Bye <=- ---* Origin: Keyboard not connected, press to continue.
