Hi Earl,

-> ~> option on the table is the 44,000 who died last year because they were
-> uninsured.
->
-> I doubt that very many people die from lack of insurance, but it has
-> nothing to do with the "public option" aspect of the bill.
The uninsured

Let's talk about that number for a moment, the 44,000 number. You politely
declined it's authenticity. John stated something less elegant. Nonetheless,
let's talk about that number before moving forward.

It's true. I made a mistake when I typed the number. It was 45,000. Sorry,
I won't make that mistake again.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Nearly 45,000 people die in the United States each
year -- one every 12 minutes -- in large part because they lack health
insurance and can not get good care, Harvard Medical School researchers
found in an analysis released on Thursday [17 Sep 09].

On one hand, we have the republicans forcing an empty solution down our
throat, and on the other hand - we have a solution which provides health
insurance to my friends and family who currently don't have any.

You guys realize we trail behind countries like France in providing basic health
and human services to our citizens? We're pretty low on that list. You guys
bash the program but you don't argue for a better solution. I'm telling you
that human lives are at stake and arguing against solutions that provide
these services isn't productive (it's all mho).
